The service

CheSchool is a chess school: courses and lessons, trainers and puzzles, games against the bot and against friends, game review, imports from chess.com and a rating. It works on the website app.cheschool.com and in the CheSchool apps for iPhone and Android. These terms apply to all of them and to the website cheschool.com. How we handle your data is described in the Privacy Policy.

Your account

You can use the school as a guest or sign in with your phone number. A CheSchool account is a Dialr account: the same number signs you in to the Dialr messenger, and the messenger is governed by the Dialr terms. One account per person. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in code private. You can delete the account at any time in the profile.

Children

Children are welcome. A child under 13 — or under the age of digital consent in their country — may use CheSchool only with the consent of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on the child’s behalf and looks after the account.

Fair play

Cheating in rated games or puzzles — engine assistance, multiple accounts, rating manipulation — leads to a rating reset or a ban. Do not disrupt the service, probe it for weaknesses, collect its content automatically or use someone else’s account. Import only your own chess.com games.

Content

Lessons, texts and the site design are ours. Puzzle positions come from the open Lichess puzzle database (CC0). The board pieces are Colin M. L. Burnett’s set (BSD licence), the piece icons are outlines from DejaVu Sans Mono (Bitstream Vera licence), and the fonts are Inter and Bricolage Grotesque (SIL Open Font License). You may use the materials for your own study; you may not resell or republish them.

Price

CheSchool is free. There are no payments, subscriptions or in-app purchases.

No guarantees

We work hard to keep the service running, but it is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee a rating gain, uninterrupted access or that every puzzle and engine move is flawless. Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law; nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer.
